The 10 horses are set for the Rainbow Futurity at Ruidoso Downs Race Track and Casino on July 13.
The second of two days of qualifying for the Rainbow Futurity took place on Saturday with the five fastest horses joining Friday’s five fastest horses in the finals.
The 400-yard Rainbow Futurity is the second leg of three major races for 2-year-old quarter horses.
Political Twist won the 350-yard Ruidoso Futurity on June 8 but his connections decided to skip the Rainbow Futurity to prepare for the 440-yard, $3 million All American Futurity on Labor Day.
Horses that will run in the Rainbow Futurity final are preparing their horses for a possible run at the All American Futurity, which will be held on Labor Day.
